General Fees

Rates effective January 1, 2010 until December 31, 2010

 

Lessons:        All lessons must be paid for in advance and are due the 25^th of the preceding month.

 

¼ hour Private       1 student                  $25.00 *only available to beginners under the age of 8

½ hour private       1 student                  $40.00

1 hour private        1 student                  $60.00

 

½ hour group        2 or more students   $25.00

1 hour group         2 or more students   $40.00

 

 

Payment Policies:       Payment is due on the 25^th of the PRECEDING month.       All lessons not paid by the day of the lesson will be charged an additional $5/lesson and additional availability may be limited.                        

 

Cancellation Fees:      If you must cancel a lesson…No Refunds will be given.  You may make up four lessons/year at no additional charge as long as….You cancel the lesson by 9:00 PM the night before and schedule a makeup within a month. 

 

Practice Rides:                          $25.00 for no more than ½ an hour. Practice rides allow students who are able to ride unsupervised the opportunity to ride outside scheduled lessons. Practice rides are offered on a first come first serve basis. To be eligible, students must be scheduled for, taking and paying for at least one lesson each week.  In addition, an employee of Kelviden Farm must be on the premises.

 

Membership plan:         $400.00 per month with a full year commitment.  This plan runs January through December.  It includes 78 group lessons (approximately 3 every two weeks), 10 days of schooling at horse shows, and 78 days of practice riding.  This is a $5570 package for only $4800.  This is only available to a select group of students that have proved their dedication and ability.  Please speak to Amy if you are interested in this plan.

 

Leases:  

Half Lease:             $450.00 per month. This includes paddock board, four hour group lessons a month and a lease fee. A half lease entitles the lessee to ride the leased horse three times a week, one of which must be in a lesson. A half lease also entitles the lessee to first preference for use of the horse at any horse shows or special events. The leased horse may not be jumped outside of scheduled lessons.

 

                    Full Lease:         $850.00 per month. This includes paddock board, four group hour lessons a month and a lease fee. A full lease entitles the lessee to ride the leased horse six times a week, one of which must be in a lesson. A full lease also entitles the lessee to sole use of the horse, excluding use by employees of Kelviden Farm. The leased horse may not be jumped outside of scheduled lessons.

 

Training:                           $30.00 per session (Board additional)

$120.00 per week (Board additional)

$700 per month (Includes Paddock board)

$800.00 per month (Includes Stall board in the old barn)

$900.00 per month (Includes Stall board in the main barn)

 

          Each session lasts for approximately a half an hour with an average of five sessions per week. In addition to the training fee, owner will be responsible for all blacksmith and vet bills.

 

Sales:   15% of the sale or purchase price:

 Kelviden Farm will assist you in the sale or purchase of a horse or an item of equipment

In addition, all phone, travel and miscellaneous expenses must be covered.
